Hello, my name’s Emma, and I’m addicted to learning.
This might sound like a strange thing to be addicted to, but the mind is a strange thing, and in reality, anyone could become addicted to anything. Continue reading

I wanted to write this week about therapy – going to therapy and talking about it.
Being in training and in my field of work, it’s really important to undergo personal therapy, not only so you can experience the process from the other side, but more importantly, so you can work on resolving any issues you might have which might affect your ability as a therapist.
Despite it’s massive increase in popularity in recent years, it seems therapy is still a massive taboo. I remember in my early twenties when I suffered from an eating disorder, I went to see a brilliant therapist who, I’m sure, saved my life. Did I talk about it? No – people would have thought I was insane! Continue reading
Have you ever wondered over those people you meet, every once in a while, who for some inexplicable reason, you end up telling all your secrets to, without even realising it?
I have, a lot. Being a therapist and working in coaching, it’s really important to me that I make people feel comfortable enough to open up about the most sensitive elements of their lives within minutes of meeting me. There is so much you can learn from yoga, not only on a physical level but on a deeply emotional and profound level. I wanted to share with you my three favourite things that I’ve learned over the years I’ve been practising (and you don’t even have to stick your leg over your head!). Continue reading
This is the story of how my dad conquered his fear.
This post is all about making decisions from a principle centred place.
As you may know, I’m in the process of reading ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People’ by Steve Covey. I have to say, reading it on the tube (London Underground trains for my US readers), I haven’t got all that far but I’m up to the 3rd habit and was inspired to write this post.
I sat, staring in the mirror, amazed at what I had discovered. I was my own worst enemy. I was the one holding me back. For some unknown reason, my subconscious was creating barriers, blocking me from achieving what I wanted to achieve.
